The Brookshire Process: Weddings

At Brookshire, we want your wedding to be perfect. Thus far, it is one of the most important days of your life and your family’s life. That’s why our venue takes on a number of the significant responsibilities and tasks that are typically handled by a paid wedding planner. However, it is important to realize that we do not offer a replacement service for a wedding planner. There are certain aspects that we will complete for you and other parts of your wedding that you will still need to arrange yourself (i.e. photography, attire, transportation, officiant services, etc). However, overall, we have an established stress-free process to ensure that your big day is absolutely perfect! Our packages are all-inclusive and will keep you from traveling around Columbus to find the best vendors in the industry. No worries, they’re here! A Private Personalized Tour

Upon all inquiries, we arrange a private tour of our venue. We’ll show you every part of our facility that will be involved in your wedding celebration. (Bridal Suite, Groom’s Quarters, 6+ Ceremony Spots, our expansive patios, and of course, our grand ballroom) We will also point out specific places we think make the perfect photo opportunities. We’ll talk about how the reception and the ceremony can be arranged. It is our sincere goal to make sure the venue is right for your wedding. Every package we offer includes private consultations that we will complete with our clients to ensure everything is perfect! These consultations will be based around the setup of the location such as linens, centerpieces/floral, DJ timeline and music, and your cake! You will have a private consultation of linens so that you get the exact style and decoration that you want. We have a wide selection of linens for you to choose from, with 80+ colors included in the package. In addition, our florist will work with you to create breathtaking centerpieces and we can add ceremony flowers for a nominal cost. These centerpieces will match the overall aesthetic for the style that you have chosen. There’s also the rather fun consultation of picking your cake, icing, and filling. Finally, we will give you a consultation on the timeline for the wedding and the music for the reception.

Open House Tasting

Welcome to a mini wedding show at Brookshire! You’ll get to see everything in action with your loved ones. At this event, you’ll be able to try out cake flavors, the savory food options, our bar offerings, and more. You can spend a couple of hours making sure of your decisions for décor, food, and beverage. Every table will rock a different linen color/texture and be ornamented with a different centerpiece. Our cuisine tastes absolutely incredible! Four people are included in your cost to attend this event.

List Of Preferred Vendors

We will provide all clients with a list of our preferred vendors including officiants, dress shops, videographers, photo booths, photographers and more! As a wedding venue, we have connections to different vendors in the industry. Looking to offer a photo booth at your reception? We have just the contact! Want to catch your entire celebration on video? We know talented videographers that have been to Brookshire and know our space well.

Personalized Room Diagram and Final Details Appointment

An individualized room diagram will be drawn up from Social Tables, a cloud based program where we can manipulate our ballroom to match your vision and inspirations. This will help you to map out where everyone is sitting, and it will ensure everything is organized on your special day. Two weeks prior to your wedding, there will be a final appointment to go over all of the details. We will go over every aspect and make sure you are prepared. We take care of setting up every table, every chair, every linen and more!

Check In Of Personal Items

We do provide an hour to check in all of your personal items the Wednesday before the wedding. (Think guest book, pictures of the couple, anything you want to be on site at our venue!) These can be items to be used in the ceremony or the reception. As long as they are with us on #weddingwednesday, we will ensure they are placed suitably around the venue based on your direction. You’ll also get to meet your day-of facility manager at this appointment. It helps to ease nerves of the bride to know who will be coordinating such a special occasion!

Space For Rehearsal

We do guarantee and provide a space for your rehearsal for one hour the day prior to the wedding. Your officiant or pastor must facilitate this run-through. We are here for additional questions and rain plan options if your ceremony is planned for the outdoors. Looking for a rehearsal dinner spot? We can provide that, too!

Day Of Coordination

Finally, we will provide you with day-of-coordination for your wedding. Once again, this is just to make sure that everything fits into the plan perfectly. Our facility manager will cue you down the aisle and ensure that each piece of your reception provided by Brookshire is in place.
